Shore Pop Warner is proud again to sponsor the 11th year of our Scholarship Program - The Walter E. Binford III Scholarship ! 2010 High School graduates who meet the eligibility criteria and submit their applications to the Director Of the Walter E. Binford III Scholarship program by 05/04/2010 will have their application reviewed by the selection committee. The Selection Committee will evaluate all applications and select 2 recipients.The Selection Committee will evaluate all applications and select 2 recipients, One for football and One for Cheerleading, and award the $1000 scholarship if the selection criteria is met.

The Program

The Shore Pop Warner organization has established the Walter E. Binford III Scholarship program to assist former participants who plan to pursue post-secondary education in college or vocational programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full time study at any accredited post-secondary institution of the student’s choice. The Director of the Walter E. Binford III Scholarship program administers the scholarship program. The Director will ensure that the selection process is fair and unbiased and act as an arbitrator when appropriate. The Director will not be a member of the selection committee. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, religion, gender, disability, national origin or financial need.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Walter E. Binford III Scholarship Program:

• Must have participated in the Shore Pop Warner football or cheerleading program for 1 full year.
• Must be graduating High School the year they are applying for the scholarship.
• Must be accepted by post-secondary educational institution prior to application submission.
