BLUE DEVILS NEWS & NOTES

• SCRIMMAGES -> PLEASE CONFIRM WITH YOUR COACH THE DATE / ARRIVAL TIME / LOCATION OF ALL SCRIMMAGES

   

  • Wednesday, 8/20 - Scrimmage at Keyport, arrive at field by 5:15pm.

  Keyport - Games & Practices: Keyport High School
  
  GSP (N)/(S) to exit 117 keep left at the split and take Route 36 East. Proceed to the third light (Middle Road) and take the jug handle for the U-TURN. Take Route 36 back towards the Parkway. At the first light (Atlantic Street, Yellow Rose Diner is on the right), make a right and Jackson Street is the second street on your right. The field is at the end. About 75 feet past Jackson Street, turn left into parking area. Only handicapped, coaches, and game officials can park at the field (you should receive parking passes ahead of time). From Route 36 West, turn right onto Atlantic Street (Yellow Rose Diner is on the left) and follow directions from Atlantic Street above.
   

  • Sunday, 8/24 - Friendship game at St. Barts, Confirm with your coach the arrival time & location

  St. Bart's - Games: Heavenly Farms Complex; Practices: School behind St. Bart's Church
   

  We are all set for the Friendship game 8/24/08 at St. Barts fields in East Brunswick.  The fields are called Heavenly Farms.  They have 2 turf fields to play on that are right next to each other so the schedule will be as follows:

  Take Rt. 18 North into East Brunswick, once you pass under Rt. 516, look for Rues Lane jug handle. Make left to cross Rt. 18. Continue on Rues Lane until you come to Cranbury Road (CVS on your left). Make a left onto Cranbury Road. Continue on Cranbury Road, past the Middlesex County Fairgrounds (on your right). At the next traffic light, make a right onto Dunhams Corner Road. The entrance to the field will be approximately 1/2 mile on the right, at the Dog Park entrance. 

   

• RAFFLE TICKETS - The stubs must be turned in A.S.A.P. ! !  The fundraising was paid at the time of registration.  The money you are collecting from selling the raffle tickets is your reimbursement.  If you have double paid, you will be getting your money back but please contact your Team Mom.

• WORK BOND DUTIES - Team Moms will have the Work Bond Duty folders at practice starting Tuesday, August 19th.  Sign up early and get your choice of assignments to fulfill your work bond obligation !  Work Bond Information
• PICTURE DAY - Friday, August 22nd 6PM, at the practice field.  You will be getting envelopes from your coach or team mom starting Tuesday, August 19th.  Please make sure your picture form is filled out prior to arriving.  Also, if you don't plan on purchasing any of the pictures, please have your Childs picture taken anyway because it's a part of the parent day gift.  
• PEP RALLY- Come join the fun Friday 8/29 6PM at BlackBerry Park in Oceanport and help launch another great Blue Devil season !  Bring the entire family and cheer for all of the football players and cheerleaders !  Help yourself to some hot dogs, hamburgers and cold beverages while you enjoy the music and other activities.  Bring a side dish if you so choose to add a little something extra to this special night! You may also be one of the lucky winners of the raffle which will be held at the Pep Rally.

  • If anyone found any money at the practice field, please let us know by sending us an EMAIL -> I FOUND SOME MONEY
  • If anyone found a small bag with a cat and dog on it and a bathing suit inside, please let us know by sending us an EMAIL -> I FOUND THE BAG
  • If anyone found a booklet of raffle tickets at the practice field, please let us know by sending us an EMAIL -> I FOUND the Raffle Tickets
• TACKLE FOOTBALL TEAMS ARRIVAL - All tackle football teams must arrive at 5:45 PM not 6:00 PM for practice
• FLAG FOOTBALL PRACTICE - Will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00PM - 7:30PM
• FUNDRAISING - Raffles - Booster - Banners - Water Bottle Label Information
• WATER BOTTLES PICKUP - Please remind the children to pick-up/clean-up the water bottles after practice.  This will alleviate the extra work the coaches and team moms do after practice. 
• PARKING - We would like to remind you that you may only park in the parking lot. The police will give tickets if you are parked along the fence on Crescent Place. They do not care if it is only for a minute or just to pick up and drop off.  We would also appreciate it is you would not park along the field within the fenced area.  We have been allowing one or two of our members to be there as they are collecting paperwork or handing out uniforms but we do not want anyone else there. It is dangerous as it narrows the roadway and blocks the view for children and adults coming in and out of the parking lot. There is plenty of space in the lot. Bring a chair and sit around the field but do not park along its edges! We thank you for your cooperation  in helping us keep our children and drivers safe.

MISCELLANEOUS

• SHORE POP WARNER general membership meeting will be held from 8PM-9PM every 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Port-Au-Peck firehouse in Oceanport.  
• SHORE POP WARNER is a non-profit organization run solely on the efforts of our parents and volunteers.  Thanks to all for your continued support!
• SHORE POP WARNER reserves the right to place your child on a team/squad where they feel is appropriate for the squad/team and is best for your child.
